Jim Romberg, Professor Emeritus of Art at Southern Oregon University, has developed an integration of surface, color, and raku effects that present a very contemporary expression of an age old aesthetic in ceramics. Romberg is currently Artist-In-Residence at Eagleheart Center for Art and Inquiry in Abiquiu, New Mexico. His work has been represented in many galleries and collections and he has been conducting workshops in the US, Canada and France.

 

Throwing Demonstration and Lecture on Japanese Pottery

Yosuke Koizumi is a potter from Japan who joined the Shimpo team in Japan, after working as a production potter for three years in the pottery village of Shigaraki. Yosuke was instrumental in the development of the Whisper Series potter’s wheels. He is a talented potter, a graduate of Tulane University, whose demonstrations focus on the spontaneity of Japanese pottery. Yosuke has been doing demonstrations in North America, Japan, China, Korea, Singapore and throughout Europe.
